I booked my desert bighorn hunt with Ty Miller at the Wild Sheep Show in Reno, February of 2011, after a good deal of research and several conversations. My hunt was booked for 10 days, March 8-17, 2012. Due to a series of circumstances, I was unable to connect with a ram during my first hunt period. Ty was able to renew my permit for an additional 10 days through the governing ''ejido'' (sheep conservation reserve) at a reasonable cost to me for an additional hunt period, March 29-April 7, 2012. I returned to Mexico and was able to connect with a beautiful ram on March 30. Ironically, the ram I took was the same ram I had an opportunity to take during my previous hunt. I've hunted world-wide for the past 15 years and can say, without reservation, that the camp setting for our hunt across the bay from the fishing village of Agua Verde on the Sea of Cortez was the most spectacular and beautiful that I have experienced. The guides and staff were accommodating and friendly. Pickup at the airport in Cabo San Lucas was prompt and overnight hotel accommodations in Cabo were excellent. Ty went above and beyond the call of duty to obtain an additional hunt opportunity for me to ensure that I collected my trophy. The ram was gorgeous, completing both my Grand Slam of Sheep and Super Slam of all North American big game species. I am deeply indebted to Ty and his group for a wonderful experience.
